Qualifications & Experience

• Valid California Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Certified School Nurse certification required
• Experience working in K-12 school environments highly desirable
• Proficiency in medication administration and documentation
• Familiarity with vision and hearing screenings
• Comfortable facilitating and attending IEP meetings, particularly for medically fragile students
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Flexibility to float across multiple school sites within the district

• Deliver routine and emergency nursing care to students in grades K-12
• Administer medications as prescribed and maintain accurate health records
• Conduct vision and hearing screenings for student populations
• Collaborate with educators, families, and care teams during IEP meetings for students with medical needs
• Provide first aid, health assessments, and care instructions to students and staff
• Promote a safe, healthy learning environment in each assigned location
• Travel between schools as scheduled to address nursing needs district-wide
