Overview
Apple Valley, California – Behavioral Health Nurse Supervisor. The role involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating direct patient care according to accepted standards of practice in an outpatient mental health program, managing clinic nursing services, supervising staff, collaborating with physicians and clinic supervisors to ensure optimal day‑to‑day clinic operations, and monitoring compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
Responsibilities- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate direct patient care according to accepted standards of practice in an outpatient mental health program.
- Manage clinic nursing services, including direct supervision and evaluation of clinic staff.
- Work collaboratively with physicians and clinic supervisors to ensure optimal day‑to‑day clinic operations.
- Monitor compliance with standards of external regulatory and accreditation agencies.
- Registered Nurse license in the State of California, current and maintained.
- Healthcare Provider level Basic Life Support certification.
- Minimum two (2) years of professional psychiatric nursing experience.
- Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Nursing preferred; four or more years of outpatient experience in a public sector agency preferred.
- Fluency in American Sign Language, Arabic, Korean, Mandarin, Spanish, Tagalog, and/or Vietnamese is strongly encouraged; additional compensation may be provided for bilingual skills.
Applicants must pass a background investigation, fingerprinting, and medical examination, which may include drug and/or TB testing. Applicants must be a U.S. citizen or permanent U.S. resident.
Travel throughout the County may be required; mileage reimbursement is available. Proof of automobile liability insurance must be produced and maintained.
