RN Nurse, Operating Room Nurse, Surgical Assistant
OR Registered Nurse (RN)
This is a Night 3x12-Hour position (19:00 - 07:30) with weekends required, at least every other weekend, and may exceed to meet unit needs.
We are seeking a skilled OR Registered Nurse (RN) to join our surgical team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in operating room procedures and demonstrate the ability to float between the main operating room and the outpatient surgery center. This role requires a thorough understanding of surgical protocols, as well as the ability to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities- Assist in all aspects of surgical procedures and patient care.
- Prepare and maintain the sterile field throughout surgical procedures.
- Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure safety and positive patient outcomes.
- Monitor patients before, during, and after surgeries.
- Participate in emergency airway management and code response when necessary.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an OR Registered Nurse, with a preference for candidates with 3 years of experience in surgical procedures.
- BLS certification is required; ACLS certification is preferred.
- Must have a valid California RN license.
- Experience with Epic charting system is highly preferred.
