Registered Nurse – Operating Room

Schedule
- Weekends:
Required (at least every other weekend) - On-call:
Yes (weekend/holiday call 07:00–07:00; estimated 70–90 hours in a 6-week period) - Holiday Requirement:
Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays

Facility able to call off once per two-week pay period

Requirements
- License:
Valid nursing license required

- Certifications:

BCLS required; ACLS preferred

- Experience:

Minimum 2 years OR experience required, 3 years preferred for full case exposure - EMR:
Epic experience highly preferred
- Unit-specific skills:
Robotics, spine/orthopedics, total joints, vascular, urology, OB/GYN (including C-sections), ENT, ophthalmology, plastics, CABG/open-heart experience advantageous

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in the operating room with attention to patient safety and comfort.

- Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure efficient and safe surgical procedures.

- Assist in the preparation and management of surgical instruments and supplies.

- Monitor patient vital signs and respond to changing conditions during surgical procedures.

- Participate in post-operative care and education for patients and families.

Compliance / Notes
- Must disclose license/background issues at time of submission; no open license hits.

- RTO must be included at submission; facility may call off staff once per two-week pay period.

- Travelers expected to float across facilities; refusal may result in termination.
