Registered Nurse – NICU

Apple Valley, CA | Acute Care Hospital

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (18:00–06:30) | Free Parking On-Site

• Provide direct patient care in a Level III NICU serving approximately 190 births per month
• Assess, monitor, and manage the care of neonatal patients requiring intensive nursing intervention
• May be expected to float to Mother/Baby unit for newborn care; candidates with couplet care experience may float fully
• Utilize Epic EMR for all clinical documentation and charting
• Adhere to unit scheduling expectations, including rotating weekend shifts as needed to meet unit needs
• Commit to working 3 of 5 designated holidays:
  Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day

• Active RN license; compact license must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience, with at least 1 year in NICU specialty
• Required certifications: BCLS, NRP, and PALS
• All RTO requests must be submitted at time of candidate submission; post-offer RTO requests may not be considered
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible at standard rate; candidates within 50 miles may be considered at a local rate
• 2 professional references covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years required prior to start

• Experience with couplet care or Mother/Baby nursing
• Familiarity with Epic EMR
• Flexibility with scheduling, including willingness to float to sister units as needed
