As a Customer Service Associate, you will welcome customers, help them find and select products, occasionally load merchandise, and ensure all customer needs are met. Your day may vary by department—Appliances, Cabinets, Flooring, Live Nursery, Inside Garden, Hardware, Tools, Millwork, Building Materials, Plumbing, Electrical, Paint, Home Décor, Tool Rental, or Pro Services.
Key Responsibilities- Welcome customers and deliver friendly, professional service.
- Assist customers with locating and handling merchandise.
- Down‑stock merchandise, replenishing supplies as needed.
- Process orders and deliveries accurately.
- Cross‑train in other store areas.
- Prepare merchandise (e.g., tint and mix paint, cut and bundle wood, cut drywall).
- Guide customers through shopping or checkout.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
- 6 months experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
- 6 months experience using common retail technology such as smartphones and tablets.
- Reading, writing, and basic arithmetic skills.
- Ability to perform duties requiring prolonged standing, sitting, or other necessary activities.
- Minimum lift of 25 lbs unassisted or 25 lbs with or without an accommodation.
- Retail and/or customer service experience (6 months).
- Bi‑lingual skills.
- Certification in a trade related to department (e.g., hardware, kitchen, plumbing, electrical, lawn and garden, lumber/building materials).
This role does not require regular travel but may need occasional travel to meetings, training, or to support neighboring stores.
Working ConditionsEnvironmental factors vary by location. You may work in both indoor and outdoor weather conditions, exposing you to temperature extremes, humidity, wind, and varying noise levels. Lifting allows single lifts up to 75 pounds; team lifts are used as needed. Powered equipment may be used with proper training or assistance.

$16.90 – $17.20 per hour. Starting rate varies by position, location, education, training, and experience.
