Aggregate Maintenance Operator

Cal Portland is seeking an Aggregate Maintenance Operator to support Engineering, Maintenance & Asset Management in our Construction operations. In this on-site role, you will operate and maintain crushers, conveyors, and screening equipment to ensure safe, efficient aggregate production. Responsibilities include routine inspections, troubleshooting mechanical issues, performing preventive maintenance, and supporting repairs to minimize downtime. You'll follow strict safety and environmental standards while collaborating with operations and engineering teams in a culture that values teamwork, innovation, and sustainability.

Responsibilities

• Operate aggregate processing equipment including crushers, conveyors, and screens
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on mechanical systems
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment to minimize downtime
• Follow all safety, environmental, and Lockout/Tagout procedures
• Document maintenance activities and report equipment issues
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams on maintenance priorities
• Assist with equipment installations, adjustments, and upgrades
• Maintain clean and organized work areas around equipment
• Support continuous improvement of plant reliability and efficiency
• Participate in safety meetings, training, and audits
