Community Ed Specialist-Early Learning ECFE/Outreach/Screening
Unaffiliated Level 2, Annual Salary Range is $68,557-$83,494 (prorated for part-time schedules). Work Schedule is M-F 20 hours/week; full-time, year-round with flexible hours to meet the needs of programs.
The Community Ed Specialist reports to the Early Learning Manager/Director and is responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of Community Ed programs. This is a full-time, year-round position with variable hours depending on the schedule of events. Hours may include occasional nights and weekends.
Responsibilities- Work with classroom staff to implement best practices in early childhood including Pyramid Model, Classroom Engagement Model, LETRS, and Professional Learning Communities.
- Assist with developing new programs and modifying existing ones to enhance offerings. Recruit instructors for preschool and adult classes. Schedule activities and provide on-call support during evenings and weekends. Support program staff and ensure a high standard of classroom best practices. Work with school/district personnel, community organizations, and youth education entities to enhance programs.
- Collaborate with the Communications Department to market programs and grow participation. Assist with creating and managing content for print and digital marketing materials and maintaining program web pages. Promote and implement quality customer service in conjunction with program staff.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of current programs, modify current programs, and develop new programs as deemed appropriate by the supervisor.

- Proficiency in technology for word processing, budgeting, billing, and communications (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Suite)
- Marketing and communications knowledge to support program promotion
- Utilizing communication and interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with coworkers, supervisor, the general public, and others sufficient to exchange or convey information
- Excellent verbal and written communication for engaging families, staff, and community
- Ability to collaborate with diverse teams and departments effectively
- Capacity to inspire trust through competence, reliability, and sincerity
- Strong ability to manage multiple projects, set and adjust priorities, and meet deadlines
