Summary

Perform a variety of duties related to demonstrating and teaching others to skate safely and effectively. Instruct students in our learn‑to‑skate and skating programs.

• Work under the direction of the Arena Manager and the Director of Skating.
• Teach learn‑to‑skate and skating classes as required.
• Establish up‑to‑date class and student records.
• Be creative/innovative with instruction.
• Assist in any office duties as assigned.
• Assist in crowd control on and off the ice.
• Assist Skating Director in preparing analysis sheets following each session.
• Answer questions concerning skating programs as needed.
• Assist Skating Director in placing students in proper skill groups.
• Test students on completion of each session.

• Must be 15 years of age or older.
• Must have skating experience.
• Demonstrated organizational skills.
• Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills.
• Supervisory experience preferred.

This opportunity provides ongoing work throughout the year:
Spring and Summer Monday evenings;
Fall and Winter Monday evenings and Saturday mornings. The position will work at both Arenas (Wings (Hayes) and Sports Arena).

Starting rate of pay will depend on qualifications and experience.
