At Tutor Me Education, we connect passionate educators with neurodivergent students for high-impact, 1:1 in-home tutoring. As an In-Home Special Education Tutor, you’ll deliver personalized academic instruction, socio-emotional support, and patient behavioral guidance aligned to each student’s learning style and IEP goals — right in their home.
This is a flexible, part‑time W-2 employee role. Start with one student (~2–10 hrs/week) and take on additional students whenever you’d like to grow your hours and income.
What You’ll Do- Lead engaging 1:1 sessions tailored to students with diverse learning needs
- Implement creative lesson plans aligned to each student’s IEP goals (full resources and support from our team)
- Adapt academic materials to each student’s unique learning profile
- Track progress after each session and keep open, empathetic communication with parents and guardians
- Foster a safe, inclusive environment that builds confidence and resilience
- AA, BA, or higher (Special Education, Psychology, or Education preferred)
- Hands‑on experience supporting students with special needs or learning differences (e.g., ASD, ADHD, Dyslexia) — currently enrolled college students with this experience are encouraged to apply
- Empathy, patience, and a student‑first approach
- Reliable vehicle for local travel to client homes
- Ability to pass a background check
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) a strong plus — premium rates available for bilingual matches
$25–$35+ per hour, based on your credentials, specialization, and the needs of the student you’re matched with. Most roles fall in the $25–$35+ range; higher rates apply for credentialed or specialized tutors, higher-need cases, and bilingual (Spanish/English) matches.
