MEP Designer II

Responsibilities

• Responsible for development of design, construction documents and technical documentation in various project/construction phases for MEP systems of intermediate complexity and medium scope.
• Work independently with moderate levels of project oversight and under the guidance of a senior team member.
• Set up and convert moderate MEP system design concepts into specific MEP systems.
• Utilize Revit/CAD and other software and BIM processes for project setup, pipe routing and/or modeling, technical documentation, engineering calculations, publishing construction documents, and creating project material lists.
• Accountable for the successful implementation of the scope of work and completion of tasks meeting quality standards and within the allocated timeframe.
• Provide excellent customer experience and maintain documentation in accordance with Uponor standards.
• Participate in departmental meetings, training sessions and company updates, and seek personal development opportunities.

• Requires an AA degree (or equivalent) in construction management, engineering, architecture, drafting, MEP systems, fire sprinkler systems.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 2+ years of trade design experience.
• 4+ years of AutoCAD or Revit experience.
• Familiarity with Auto Desk software (focusing on AutoCAD, Revit, Loop Cad), Microsoft Operating Systems, and Microsoft Office platforms.
• Experienced knowledge of construction methods, building materials, pipe sizing, and model codes is required.
• Must be detail oriented, work well under pressure, and be able to meet deadlines.
• Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations Preferred: CHD (Certified Hydronic Designer), CPD (Certified Plumbing Designer), BCIN License.
