Why Bright Path?

At Bright Path, our mission is simple: enabling the freedom to pursue joy. We run licensed 245D residential homes across the Twin Cities for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and complex behavioral needs — and we specialize in the challenging, high-behavior work many providers won't take on. As a Program Coordinator, you're the steady hand who keeps a home safe, supported, and moving forward.

We invest in our leaders: paid training and certification support, a company Coursera account, real advancement pathways, and hands‑on leaders who back you up.

About the Role

The Program Coordinator is a lead role — the experienced person on site when the manager isn't there. You provide in-ratio direct care alongside your team and carry the leadership layer. This is a small, home‑like setting supporting adult males with intellectual/developmental disabilities and serious, challenging behaviors — genuinely demanding, high‑behavior work that often calls for 2:1 support and skilled crisis response.

You'll safeguard daily well‑being and safety, ensure care plans and active treatment plans are followed, train and support staff, own medication management and documentation, and keep the home compliant and running.

Schedule & Pay

Full-time (non-exempt). 4 days/week — Monday–Thursday or Tuesday–Friday, 2:00 PM–10:00 PM — plus every other weekend. Includes on-call rotation. $30/hour.

What You'll Do
  • Provide direct care based on each individual's Support Plan and Support Plan Addendum — ADLs, personal cares, medical needs, mental health supports, and program implementation.
  • Be the go-to leader on shift; train new staff and help the team understand care plans, ADLs, and active treatment plans.
  • Own medication management in Therap E-MAR — MAR reviews, med orders/inventory, and coordination with the RN.
  • Document accurately and on time: ISP program data, daily logs, and quarterly progress reports.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team (IDT) meetings and contribute to client care planning.
  • Keep the home compliant with 245D and licensing standards (including quarterly fire/weather drills), and manage meal planning, grocery shopping, and the household budget (Divvy).
Required
  • Experience supporting a vulnerable population in a healthcare or oversight capacity.
  • Leadership experience and/or training in disability or behavioral services.
  • Minimum 50 hours of education and training related to human services and disabilities (education can be substituted with equivalent experience).
  • Ability to pass a DHS background study and maintain qualified status.
  • Current valid driver's license and insurance.
  • Comfort with the physical demands of direct support — on your feet up to 8 hours, transfers, and implementing approved physical interventions when necessary.
  • Willingness to participate in the on-call rotation.
Preferred
  • Degree in psychology, social work, special education, or a related behavioral science.
  • CPR/First Aid; crisis-intervention certification (CPI, Mandt, PCM, etc.).
  • Familiarity with 245D, Therap, and behavior support plan implementation.
What Sets You Apart

Calm under pressure, dignity-first care for every individual, clear communication, reliability your team can count on, and a drive for continuous improvement.
