Maintenance SupervisorLocation: Apple Valley, MN –
On‑Site at our North American manufacturing headquarters. The role oversees day and afternoon/night shift teams; night shift work is an essential requirement.
- Delegate and prioritize the day-to-day operations of a team, aligning routine tasks with the overall business strategy and ensuring timely completion.
- Partner with the Manager on strategic prioritization and processes within the team’s area of expertise, exercising independent judgment and moderate decision-making.
- In collaboration with the Manager, ensure the function’s budget using cost‑effective tactics, while allocating resources based on functional priorities.
- Set individual or team performance objectives aligned with the function strategy to drive high performance; evaluate and measure performance against the organization’s high‑performance standards.
- Oversee staff resources to ensure effective utilization; daily proactive involvement to ensure production equipment operates correctly and is available for production, utilizing strong problem‑solving skills to resolve issues and identify corrective actions.
- Operate the computerized maintenance management system to monitor and drive results, holding team members accountable for productivity, mean time between failure, employee utilization, preventive maintenance schedules, and related metrics.
- Fully engage in Lean culture, including 5S and Tier Management for organization and communication; lead continuous improvement by participating in and driving completion of CI suggestions, A3 projects, and other initiatives.
- Supervise Maintenance employees to ensure safe, proper work methods and that all safety procedures are followed.
- Foster a team environment where every employee is expected and encouraged to contribute; set an example of dedication and conscientiousness.
- Evaluate and measure employee performance, provide constructive feedback, document performance, coach employees, and offer development opportunities when possible.
- Develop, implement, and communicate company and department policies and procedures.
- Review all equipment documentation for completeness and availability to staff; maintain an accurate, up‑to‑date critical spare part list and documented work instructions.
- Seek opportunities to contribute to business success through proactive involvement in team initiatives.
- 2+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment (required)
- Strong technical knowledge of building systems (electrical, heating, etc.)
- Knowledge of health & safety practices and regulations
- Budgeting and performance management experience
- Planning and leadership abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Computer knowledge, including familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems and reporting
- Organizational skills
- Associate’s degree in business, management, or equivalent

Applicable to US job postings only (not Canada). The expected compensation range for this position is $88,299 – $132,448 per year. This range represents a good‑faith estimate for the role; the specific compensation offered may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience. Please note that this range represents the full base hourly rate for the role, and hiring at or near the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future pay advancement.
