Job Description
This position is tasked with the operation of packaging equipment and the management of quality standards associated with packaging. The operator is responsible for maintaining accurate production reports, taking quality samples, performing quality measurements, and ensuring adherence to quality standards. Active participation in continuous improvement initiatives is expected.
Responsibilities- Operate all packaging equipment by following company procedures
- Maintain quality standards
- Accurately label all products
- Maintain accurate production paperwork to avoid order rejects
- Change reels and/or carts as required by written procedures
- Maintain communications with lead and supervisor
- Perform all tasks in a safe manner
- Cut samples as required by written procedures
- Dispose of scrap properly
- Maintain work area by keeping all tools and equipment in designated areas
- Maintain the 5’s standards in the work area
- Perform required set‑up of all recoil equipment
- Continually seek out opportunities to contribute to business success through proactive involvement in lean initiatives
- High school education or equivalent is required
- Good math skills, including familiarity with the metric system
- Basic computer skills
- Basic mechanical and technical skills
- Ability to problem‑solve, multitask, prioritize, and pay attention to detail
- Ability to work a 12‑hour shift
- Manufacturing experience of 1–3 years is preferred but not required

Base pay ranges from $20.50 to $27.22 per hour, depending on experience, with an additional $2 per hour night‑shift differential. The range reflects good‑faith estimates; final compensation may vary based on candidate qualifications and location.
