Pharmacy Tech

Position Overview

• Process member purchases using cash registers and related hardware.
• Maintain merchandise presentation in the pharmacy by stocking, rotating, and organizing.
• Handle claims and returns, price merchandise, create signs, verify inventory, and protect fragile/high‑shrink items.
• Monitor and resolve prescription fulfillment issues, process third‑party insurance claims, and manage physician authorizations and re‑fill partials.
• Assist pharmacist in prescription fulfillment, including entering prescription data, translating information into system codes, and managing patient records.
• Fill prescriptions: retrieve orders, count, measure, mix or reconstitute medications, and label containers with precision.
• Assist members during prescription pickup, verifying information, entering data into TaSCO, and collecting authorizations.
• Maintain work assignments, prioritize tasks, communicate progress, and recommend improvement opportunities in accordance with company policies.

• Meet all state requirements to work as a Pharmacy Technician (age, registration, certification, and/or licensure as required).
• Obtain National Pharmacy Technician Certification issued by PTCB (PTCE) or NHA (ExCPT) within 9 months of job entry.
• Possess strong attention to detail, communication skills, and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.

The hourly wage range for this position is $19.00 to $27.00*, with the actual hourly rate meeting or exceeding the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.
