About the Role:As a Baker within the Accommodation and Food Services industry, you will be responsible for producing a wide variety of baked goods that meet high standards of quality, taste, and presentation. Your role is essential in ensuring that all products are prepared safely and efficiently, adhering to recipes and food safety regulations. You will contribute to the overall customer experience by delivering fresh, delicious items that satisfy diverse customer preferences.
This position requires a strong attention to detail, consistency in product quality, and the ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment. Ultimately, your work will support the establishment’s reputation for excellence and help drive customer satisfaction and repeat business.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in a baking role or culinary environment.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
- Ability to follow detailed recipes and instructions accurately.
- Physical capability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive motions.
- Formal training or certification in baking or pastry arts.
- Experience working in a high-volume bakery or food service setting.
- Knowledge of balancing multiple tasks efficiently in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong communication skills to provide knowledgeable customer service.
- Prepare and bake breads, pastries, cakes, and other baked goods according to established recipes and quality standards.
- Measure and mix ingredients accurately, ensuring consistency in product quality and taste.
- Operate and maintain baking equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, mixers, and proofers.
- Monitor baking times and temperatures to prevent over‑or under‑baking and ensure optimal product quality.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the baking area, adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff and management to plan daily production schedules and inventory needs.
- Provide knowledge‑based service by answering questions about ingredients, preparation methods, and product availability.
- Perform repetitive motions and stand for extended periods while maintaining focus and precision in tasks.
