Position Overview
Assistant General Manager (AGM) – a growth role focused on developing future leaders to think strategically about the store and the district while partnering with the General Manager to run the store and impact the team and community.
Core Responsibilities- Demonstrate the DOING of Team Member and Shift Leader with ease, enthusiasm and excellence.
- Develop understanding of the business to a General Manager level within a year.
- Act as the spark for joy to customers and teach the team to create real connections.
- Champion a goal‑surpassing environment through effective deployment, in‑the‑moment problem solving and team motivation.
- Achieve sales goals by linking speed and service.
- Lead problem resolution with calm, professionalism, and listening.
- Connect daily behaviors to Profit & Loss outcomes.
- Organize, execute, and improve administrative tasks and link them to business success.
- Maintain store funds on shift by enforcing cash‑handling policies.
- Place, receive, and verify orders; conduct inventory; control waste and dates and rotate inventory.
- Think holistically about store success beyond one shift.
- Understand root causes of problems to create sustainable change.

- Required:
1–3 years of restaurant/retail experience with strong customer service orientation. - Ability to work early mornings, evenings, some holidays and/or weekends.
- Minimum age 18 years.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- 1 year of supervisory experience.
Hearing, speaking, seeing, bending, reaching, lifting up to 50 lb, and standing for 4 to 8 hours. Work may be performed with or without reasonable accommodations.
Duties May ChangeThe duties of this position may change from time to time. Caribou reserves the right to add or delete duties and responsibilities at its discretion.
CompensationPay range: $33 K–$55 K annually or $16.52–$27.53 per hour. Starting pay is subject to local and state minimum wage regulations.
