Front End Coordinator

About the Role

Fresh Thyme Farmers Market is looking for a Coordinator Team Member to manage the checkout lane, provide excellent customer service, and maintain a smooth operation of cash registers and product merchandising.

• Ensure outstanding customer service, greet customers, and respond to needs promptly.
• Operate point of sale systems, handle payments via cash, check, credit cards, gift cards, or debit.
• Maintain accurate and efficient operation of all cash registers, control cash, and prevent loss.
• Keep checkout area clean, orderly, and free of personal items.
• Complete all POS transactions and adhere to company cash procedures.
• Review customer survey and feedback to improve service.
• Package, stock, and merchandise store displays as per procedures.
• Ensure accurate pricing, compliance with food safety, and remove out‑of‑code items.
• Assist with ad‑set compliance, signage, and safe work environment.
• Use production planner and dashboard for inventory and planning.
• Maintain reliable and consistent attendance.
• Perform other assigned tasks as needed.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent required. 2–3 years of related retail experience and at least one year of management experience. Previous natural foods industry experience is a plus.

Certifications:

Serv Safe Certification required; completion of all required certifications is mandatory.

• Stand, walk, and drive most of shift; may sit and walk intermittently.
• Regular manual handling up to 50 lbs, occasional lifts up to 100 lbs.
• Frequent reaching, twisting, and occasional climbing.
• May be exposed to extreme temperatures and ventilation fans.
