Accountant, Financial Reporting, Accounting Manager

Overview

The Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting business decision-making through financial analysis and record keeping. This role requires strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and a solid understanding of accounting principles as well as problem solving skills.

• Prepare and maintain general ledger entries
• Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
• Cash application, dispute/claim submissions, and collection efforts for outstanding receivables
• Accounts payable support
• Analyze variances and provide explanations to management
• Support internal and external audits
• Maintain accurate documentation and accounting records
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and controls

• Knowledge of cash applications and deductions in the food and beverage industry
• Experience with month-end close and reconciliations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required
• 0-5 years of accounting experience

• Office setting
• Fast-paced close cycles and deadlines
• Collaboration with finance, marketing, and leadership
