Job Overview

The Accountant role is integral to supporting the functions of the FICO department. This position will be actively involved in month‑end and year‑end closing processes and will be responsible for performing balance sheet account reconciliations. The Accountant is expected to manage routine accounting duties with minimal supervision while maintaining accuracy and efficiency. Additionally, the role requires a proactive and analytical mindset, with the ability to question, investigate, and develop problem‑solving skills to address accounting issues effectively.

Responsibilities
  • Perform month‑end and year‑end closing activities, such as compiling data to complete Business Unit and Product Line P&L
  • Monthly Balance Sheet Account Reconciliations
  • Develop understanding and application of US GAAP standards and their updates
  • Develop and analyze reports to aid in evaluation of Business Line activities, such as service labor analysis, shop floor utilization, revenue and cost drivers
  • Understand internal control system and actively monitor to ensure integrity of data
  • Assist external auditors in gathering information and documents for successful audit process
  • Perform simple to moderate accounting assignments, such as maintaining backlog reporting, and preparing hedging effectiveness worksheets
Minimum

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • Three to five plus years of accounting experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • CMA or CPA
Skills

Professional skills:

  • Understanding of accounting codification
  • Basic use of Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • SAP R3/S4 FI/CO user

Soft skills:

  • Verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team or individual environment
  • Critical thinking skills
  • Organizational skills with attention to detail
