Project Accounting Specialist – Appleton, WI (Hybrid possible)

Salary: $25.00 – $31.00 per hour.

We are seeking a Project Accounting Specialist who is eager to grow within a collaborative, relationship-driven construction environment. In this role, you will support the financial success of our projects by managing customer billings, reviewing project costs, and ensuring accurate financial documentation across multiple active projects. You’ll partner closely with project managers and operations teams, playing a key role in keeping projects financially on track while gaining exposure to large-scale industrial work.

• Manage customer billings for multiple active projects, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
• Review and analyze project costs, verifying that all financial records are complete and correct.
• Maintain accurate financial documentation and reporting for each project.
• Collaborate closely with project managers and operations teams to keep projects financially on track.

• Associate’s degree in accounting, business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 1–3 years of experience in accounting, finance, or related field.
• Exposure to accounts payable, accounts receivable, or customer billing processes.
• Basic knowledge of construction project accounting principles preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to review and validate financial data.
• Proven ability to collaborate across teams and follow up to ensure timely completion of tasks.

• Experience with construction project accounting or job cost accounting.
• Familiarity with expense reporting or auditing credit card transactions.
• Experience working in a project-based or matrixed environment.
