Cost Accountant

Overview

Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Cost Accountant to assist their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting pay rate of $40.00 to $55.00 per hour.

• Analyze and improve cost accounting processes to enhance financial visibility and operational efficiency.
• Develop and maintain reporting tools that provide insight into product costs, inventory activity, and manufacturing performance.
• Evaluate costing methodologies and identify opportunities to improve accuracy and consistency.
• Partner with finance and operations teams to translate financial data into actionable business recommendations.
• Document procedures, establish sustainable processes, and provide training on reporting and costing practices.

• Extensive experience in cost accounting within a manufacturing or production environment.
• Hands-on experience working with Infor M3 ERP.
• Strong knowledge of inventory accounting, product costing, standard costing, and variance analysis.
• Prior experience reviewing bills of materials and supporting manufacturing finance functions.
• Ability to independently assess accounting environments and recommend process improvements.

• Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to evaluate complex cost structures.
• Proven experience designing or enhancing cost accounting processes and reporting frameworks.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively across finance and operations teams.
• Previous experience with business intelligence, dashboard development, or reporting tools.
• Consulting, project based, or transformation experience.
