As a Non-Profit Audit Manager
, you will lead audit engagements for nonprofit organizations, serve as a trusted advisor to clients, and mentor team members throughout the engagement process. This role offers a variety of client work, flexible scheduling, and convenient regional travel opportunities.
- Lead and manage nonprofit audit engagements from planning through completion, including presentation to clients.
- Supervise, coach, and mentor audit staff and seniors throughout all phases of an engagement.
- Review financial statements and related audit documentation for accuracy and compliance.
- Advise clients on accounting, auditing, and financial reporting matters.
- Identify and resolve complex accounting and audit issues.
- Evaluate and test internal controls and financial reporting processes.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through exceptional service.
- Review and/or prepare Form 990 and related state informational returns.
- Participate in business development activities, networking opportunities, and client presentations.
- Contribute to the continued growth and success of the firm's Audit practice.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Active CPA license.
- Five or more years of public accounting experience with nonprofit experience.
- Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience preparing and reviewing financial statements, compilations, and reviews.
- Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and internal controls over financial reporting.
- Strong knowledge related to the preparation of Form 990s and IRS regulations for nonprofits.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple engagements and deadlines while maintaining quality service.
