TEMPORARY POSITION OPPORTUNITY!
Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 5:00pm
Pay: up to $40.00HR
Duties:- Lead month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Prepare and review financial statements, account reconciliations, inventory reconciliations, and overhead analyses.
- Apply manufacturing cost accounting principles to ensure accurate product costing and inventory valuation.
- Analyze cost centers, absorption rates, and manufacturing costs to identify opportunities for operational improvement.
- Monitor and investigate standard versus actual cost variances and order-level cost discrepancies.
- Identify financial trends and provide actionable recommendations to improve profitability and business performance.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
- Maintain the integrity of the general ledger and ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
- Develop and present financial reports and analyses to management.
- Collaborate with operations, production, and leadership teams to support data-driven decision-making.
- Utilize JD Edwards (JDE) ERP software to manage financial data and reporting activities.
- Assist with audits and support internal controls and compliance initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
- Strong experience with general ledger accounting and month-end/year-end close processes.
- Proficiency in JD Edwards (JDE) required.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and reconciliations.
- Experience with manufacturing cost accounting, inventory accounting, and cost center analysis.
- Ability to analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide meaningful business recommendations.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
