Position Overview
We are looking for a highly talented individual to serve as the administrative and operational leader of the Faculty Practice Clinic, a key part of the faculty recruitment/retention profile for the School of Dentistry. The role includes full responsibility to lead and direct staff members, manage patient schedules, act as the point person for financial discussions with patients, engage in marketing and promotion, and manage a significant annual operating budget.

Duties and ResponsibilitiesSkills and Abilities
- High school diploma
- Minimum 4 years of experience
- Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and billing codes
- Prior supervisory experience
- Excellent problem‑solving, planning, organizational, and customer service skills
- Excellent listening, written, and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work and communicate with people from diverse populations
- Ability to work independently in a high‑volume academic healthcare environment with little supervision and frequent interruptions
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Microsoft Office proficiency
Skills and Abilities
- Associate’s or vocational/technical school degree preferably in Business or Dental Hygiene/Assisting
- Prior experience with medical/dental coding, billing or claims processing
- Familiarity with dental practice management software
- Previous experience in an academic environment
