Assistant to the Deans
The Assistant to the Deans provides wide–area support for the James H. Keyes Dean of Business Administration, serves as backup for the Director of Academic Business Affairs, supervises graduate assistants, and coordinates a broad range of college programs, events, and projects.

Responsibilities
Manage and maintain all items on the Dean’s calendar and schedule; decide priority of the requests; prepare items and information as necessary for calendar items; arrange travel for the Dean and others in the College as requested.Organize and manage projects for the Dean.Manage all incoming and outgoing correspondence for the Dean relating to matters on campus and the greater community; maintain correspondence with faculty, students, and various University and business constituencies, including composing letters for the Dean as requested.Assist the Dean and Executive Associate Dean with official College reports, including reports required for AACSB accreditation.Represent the Dean and the College of Business Administration to campus associates, students, alumni, vendors, donors, speakers, and sponsors.Support all functions of the College of Business Leadership Council, including preparation for council and subgroup meetings, detailed minutes, and coordination of all communication with members.Train, supervise, and evaluate graduate assistants associated with the Dean’s office.Assist with external public communications from the college, including newsletters, magazines, brochures, and other materials.Manage the development, design, printing, and distribution of the college magazines and the Dean’s newsletters.Manage purchasing functions—purchase requisitions, purchase orders, delivery, payment—for the College Dean’s Office; serve as backup for the Director of Academic Business Affairs for certain financial approvals and processes.Assist the Director of Academic Business Affairs in the online approval process for adjunct faculty salaries and miscellaneous faculty payments.Assist the Director of Academic Business Affairs with hiring processes for support staff vacancies.Independently represent the college to external and internal program sponsors and presenters/attendees.Manage space usage for college‑controlled classrooms and meeting spaces.Assist with the identification, planning, and implementation of larger college events.Perform other duties and responsibilities as required, assigned, or requested.Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma.
- 3–5 years of related experience.
- Strong background in an office environment and the requisite skills to support a high‑level executive.
- Advanced computer application skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Proficiency in managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Tact, diplomacy, and excellent interpersonal skills (both oral and written communication).
- Experience organizing and managing a high‑volume office with strict confidentiality.
- Supervisory skills.
