location: this position is at the fbo at the appleton international airport
hours: typical full-time shifts: 4:00am-2pm, 1pm-11pm, or 8pm-6am; typical part-time shifts may fluctuate: 5am-1pm, 2pm-10pm, 10am-4pm; casual call – fill in shifts for holidays, vacations, and other needs. The schedule may require additional hours during events or special projects.
responsibilities- perform a variety of clerical duties such as typing, filing, generating reports, taking minutes, scheduling meetings, tours, appointments, and vacation calendars.
- facilitate incoming and outgoing mail, order and maintain stock of office supplies.
- serve as receptionist by greeting visitors and tenants, responding to general inquiries, and routing all incoming questions by email and phone to the proper department.
- support commercial ground, facility and passenger services, such as terminal aircraft ground support, baggage handling, airport ambassador, parking and valet services.
- record minutes at airport meetings.
- assist the airport marketing manager and operations supervisors with managing and corresponding using social media outlets.
- coordinate and assist airport administration/fbo correspondence with tenants, users, and the general public.
- initiate, update and maintain department files and records, airport/fbo statistical data and surveys.
- assist in planning and organizing events such as service announcements, ground‑breakings, meetings, trade shows and promotions.
- assist with special events for airport and fbo initiatives.
- conduct customer surveys for airport and fbo initiatives.
- maintain a master database for all contacts for use by administration and fbo tenants.
- maintain regular and predictable attendance, and work overtime or extra hours as required.
- perform other duties as assigned.
- high school graduate or g.e.d. Or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
- valid driver’s license.
- knowledge of and demonstrated ability to conform to goals, policies, and procedures of the department and the county work rules and terms of employment.
- tsa background security checks and other testing as required.
- strong organizational skills and ability to work without direct supervision.
- comfortable working early morning, day, and night shifts and in all‑weather conditions.
- knowledge of airport and department goals, policies, and procedures.
- experience with general clerical duties.
- ability to handle simultaneous calls on multi‑line phone systems.
- familiarity with general office equipment such as photocopiers, fax machines, multi‑line telephones, and calculators.
- ability to comply with applicable safety regulations.
- proficiency with computer software used by the department.
- excellent verbal and written english communication skills.
- ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
- ability to make sound independent decisions using good judgment.
- diplomacy and tact in interacting with staff, co‑workers, tenants, and the general public.
- reliability in attendance and flexibility to work varying hours.
- standing and walking for extended periods of time.
- good eye‑hand coordination with peripheral vision.
