Patient Access Director II
Ensemble is a leading provider of technology-enabled revenue cycle management solutions for health systems.
A Patient Access Director II is responsible for administering and reviewing the performance of patient access functions within Ensemble Health Partners, identifying and implementing strategies to improve processes, promote operational efficiency, enhance the patient experience, and meet regulatory compliance guidelines. Travel and rounding to other facilities within the market is required.

- Provide vision, leadership and operational oversight for on‑site Patient Access staff within a specific hospital or market, directing all admitting and registration teams across all entry points and establishing positive, collaborative relationships with operational leaders.
- Organize functions through clear accountabilities, delegation of duties, and effective departmentalization without creating silos; build and maintain a respected team by selecting, evaluating, coaching, and managing performance, as well as negotiating cross‑training and support with other managers.
- Accountable for a comprehensive communication strategy that promotes Employee Engagement, including enhanced productivity and morale, regular staff assessments, educational opportunities, appropriate staffing levels, and a strengthened recruitment and retention process.
- Direct hiring, training, and management of Patient Access staff leadership.
- Manage the budget and may perform other job‑related duties as requested.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years of leadership experience.
- 5+ years of Patient Access experience; hospital‑based experience preferred.
- Experience in healthcare provider finance operations or similar service environment required.
- Financial and project management experience.
- Experience setting strategies aimed at increasing associate engagement.
- Flexible and able to work outside of regular business hours when needed.
- Strong communication, organizational, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Able to work in a fast‑paced environment.
- Demonstrated advanced usage of AI and management of teams using AI to lean into process and technological improvements.
- CRCR certification required within first 9 months of hire.
- CHAM preferred.
This position pays between $101,600 - $137,100 based on experience.
