Job Description & How to Apply Below

The Orion Institute is the education and capacity-building platform of Orion Health Advisors, focused on developing healthcare leaders, strengthening organizational capability, and translating institutional intelligence into practical tools for healthcare transformation.

We are seeking a highly curious, organized, and intellectually engaged Strategy & Programs Intern to support the development and growth of the Institute.

The intern will work closely with the Institute leadership team across research, program development, content creation, global initiatives, and operations, gaining exposure to healthcare strategy, leadership development, organizational transformation, and international healthcare ecosystems.

Key responsibilities
  • Conduct research on healthcare leadership, organizational transformation, capital strategy, governance, and emerging healthcare trends.
  • Support development of Orion Institute courses, learning modules, presentations, case studies, and other educational materials.
  • Assist with research and preparation for Orion Intelligence publications, interviews, round tables, and global programming.
  • Help organize and maintain the Institute's curriculum, intellectual property, research library, and program materials.
  • Support speaker/faculty research and preparation for Institute programs.
  • Track developments across healthcare markets, including the U.S., UK, and international healthcare ecosystems.
  • Assist with program coordination, scheduling, communications, and participant engagement.
  • Help identify potential strategic partners, faculty, speakers, and institutional relationships.
  • Prepare briefing documents, research summaries, presentations, and executive-level materials.
  • Participate in strategic projects as assigned by Institute leadership.
What we're looking for
  • Strong research, writing, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Curiosity about healthcare, business, leadership, strategy, or organizational transformation.
  • Ability to synthesize complex information into clear, concise insights.
  • Excellent attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Comfortable working independently in a fast-moving entrepreneurial environment.
  • Professional communication skills and confidence interacting with senior executives and professionals.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office/Google Workspace; familiarity with research and presentation tools is a plus.
  • Undergraduate student, recent graduate, or graduate student preferred.
What the intern will gain

This is designed to be a high-exposure learning experience, not an administrative internship. The intern will have the opportunity to work directly on real Institute initiatives and gain exposure to:

  • Healthcare strategy and transformation
  • Executive education and curriculum development
  • Healthcare M&A and capital strategy
  • Leadership and organizational development
  • Research and thought leadership
  • Strategic partnerships and business development
