The Civil Project Manager will oversee multiple local projects, working closely with experienced underground utility crews and project leadership to maintain schedules, communicate progress, and resolve field challenges. Success in this role means developing talent through mentoring and training, applying strong technical expertise in civil construction, and leading with a hands‑on, collaborative approach. This position offers local work with minimal travel, a company fleet vehicle, and the opportunity to lead other leaders while making a meaningful impact on projects and people.

What

You Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 7+ years of construction industry experience, including 4+ years in a supervisory role.
  • Technical knowledge of civil construction methods, sequencing, and field operations (earthwork, utilities, concrete, site development).
  • Proven experience with scheduling, budgeting, cost control, and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency reading construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Hands‑on experience with project management systems (RFIs, submittals, document control, closeout) and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong communication, problem‑solving, and time‑management skills with the ability to lead teams and keep projects on track.
  • Ability to mentor, train, and develop craft and project team members.
  • Working knowledge of safety regulations, quality systems, and collective bargaining environments.
Nice to Have
  • OSHA 30 certification.
  • Professional certifications such as PMP, PE, or CCM.
  • Advanced understanding of crane operations, rigging, critical lift planning, and structural or specialty trades.
  • Experience developing innovative construction methods and improving field efficiency.
  • Calm, confident leadership style with the ability to lead under pressure in active jobsite environments.
