Position purpose
The atw ambassador helps create a welcoming and positive experience for everyone traveling through appleton airport! Under the general direction of the marketing and brand manager, this customer service roll involves greeting travelers, answering questions, solving problems, and offering assistance as needed. Atw ambassadors play an important part in making sure guests feel supported, informed, and comfortable during their time at the airport.
Hours:
early morning shifts 4a-9a or 5a-10a, weekdays and weekends.

Key responsibilities
The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.
* meet and greet customers, assist them with their needs, and strive to provide exceptional customer experience.
* assist passengers/travelers through the airport
* be able to keep cool and calm under duress and effectively handle complaints and difficult situations (missed or cancelled flights, delays, lost items, etc)
* welcome visitors and provide accurate and courteous information about the airport facilities, services and amenities
* help accommodate airport visitors' special needs, such as providing traveler escorts or wheelchair assistance
* provide support for special events
* other duties as requested or assigned.
Education/certifications/experience requirements
* graduate from high school or g.e.d. Or equivalency
* must be 18 years old or older
* must be able to pass a tsa background security check and doj.
Required or preferred skills
* excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with a diverse range of airport visitors and staff.
* ability to provide courteous, professional assistance and customer service in a dynamic public environment.
* sound judgment and the ability to make decisions that balance safety, efficiency, and customer needs.
* ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions, manage time effectively, and work collaboratively with others.
* willingness and availability to work a flexible schedule, which may include days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours as operational needs require.
* capable of performing a variety of support tasks, which may include assisting with mobility devices (e.g., wheelchairs) and luggage handling, with appropriate equipment or accommodations as needed.
* ability to perform job duties independently, with minimal direct supervision.
Working conditions & physical requirements
* frequent walking, standing, or pushing for extended periods in indoor and outdoor airport environments.
* occasional reaching, bending, or stooping to assist with personal belongings or equipment up to 50lbs, with accommodations available as needed.
* ability to push mobility assistance devices, such as wheelchairs, with or without reasonable accommodation.
