A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE
As a CSR, your primary responsibility is to ensure a positive total customer experience by completing banking transactions for individual and business customers. Keys to success include a professional demeanor, positive attitude, reliability, and excellent attention to detail. This role requires travel to various locations and markets within the Central Wisconsin area as assigned. The individual must have reliable transportation and be able to provide coverage at multiple designated sites.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and resolving basic account issues
  • Process routine financial transactions including deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, loan payments, and money orders
  • Balance cash drawers accurately at the beginning and end of each shift
  • Verify customer identification and follow security procedures to prevent fraud
  • Educate customers on bank products such as checking, savings, credit cards, and online banking
  • Assist customers with account maintenance including address changes, card replacements, and account inquiries
  • Refer customers to appropriate specialists for loans, investments, or more complex financial needs
  • Maintain confidentiality and compliance with all banking regulations and internal policies
  • Handle cash and negotiable instruments with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Support branch operations by helping with administrative tasks, filing, and recordkeeping
  • Resolve customer concerns professionally or elevate issues when necessary
  • Promote digital banking tools and assist customers with mobile or online banking setup

This is full-time position and offers a great work-life balance. A schedule is prepared a week or two in advance and may consist of scheduled time between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday; 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. on Fridays; and approx. one Saturday per month from 8:00 to noon.
