Position Title: Onsite Assistant Professor of Counseling
Employment Type: Full-time, Faculty, Salaried
Reports To: The Assistant Professor of Counseling reports to the Chair of the Psychology, Professional Counseling, and Neuroscience department.
Pay Range: Competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
The Clinical Mental Health Counseling (CMHC) program in the Department of Psychology, Professional Counseling, and Neuroscience is expanding. We invite applications for a full-time (9-month), tenure-track position at the assistant or associate professor level, beginning August 2025. Responsibilities include teaching (24 credits or 6 courses annually), research, and service. Opportunities for additional teaching in summer and winterim semesters may be available for extra compensation.
Candidates should have an earned doctorate or anticipate completing one by May 2026 in counseling or counselor education, with experience teaching and supervising students in CMHC. The role involves clinical supervision, student advisement, and contributing service to UW-Parkside, the College of Natural and Health Sciences, the department, the profession, and/or the community.
