Job Description Summary
Dual Credit Instructors facilitate student learning and develop instructional strategies that promote student success. They teach Fox Valley Technical College courses in high schools, enabling students to earn college credits and preparing them for college and career readiness.

- Learning Facilitation – develop instructional strategies to meet diverse student needs and support engagement; employ learning experiences that integrate multiple delivery methodologies and instructional technologies.
- Assessment – assess student learning, provide regular feedback, use data to measure outcomes and implement improvement strategies.
- Classroom Management – maintain accurate attendance and grade records, ensure a safe instructional environment, and evaluate student engagement.
- Team Participation – engage with the department and K‑12 Partnerships office, stay current with internal and external changes, comply with course content and competency requirements, and promote the College and its programs.
- Student Success & Support – advocate for students, collaborate with Student Services to retain students, close achievement gaps, and help all students succeed.
- Professional Development – continually improve knowledge and skills in emerging trends, occupational practices, and teaching; maintain DPI licensure.
- Employed as a K‑12 teacher within the agreed school district.
- Associate degree or equivalent licensure level at which the instructor is teaching.
- For General Studies courses:
Master’s degree or higher in a Communication Skills discipline or a related discipline with at least 18 graduate credits, or a DPI license. - Minimum of two (2) years full‑time (or 4,000 part‑time hours) occupational experience in the target job; at least one (1) year of experience within the last five (5) years.
- At least two (2) years post‑secondary teaching experience in the appropriate occupational field may waive the one‑year requirement.
- High school teachers must hold a current DPI license at time of application.
- Maintain a current DPI license.
- Proficiency with a learning management system.
- Strong verbal communication skills and adaptability to changing demands.
- Commitment to continuous improvement and innovative instruction methodologies.
- Knowledge of learner‑centered instruction, assessment, evaluation, and collaborative techniques to address achievement gaps across race, gender, and disability.
- Mobility, standing, sitting, lifting up to 50 lbs, speech, hearing, fine motor skills, visual acuity, safety compliance, and ability to perform repetitive motions.
Teaching in a classroom or online via the learning management system, typically during the day. Instruction must be completed in person.
