Job Description
Minimum 1+ years special education experience required.
If you are a Special Education Teacher who loves working with children, we have the ideal position for you! We have a school district with a full-time opening that deals with a K‑12th grade caseload. The district’s preference is a school‑based experienced Special Education Teacher. However, it is open to interviewing candidates who are interested in pediatrics. Job Details:
- Onsite near the Verona, Wisconsin area
- Start ASAP
- # students/sites and caseload information will be discussed more in depth with special services' director during interview
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education (or related field)
- Valid state (WI) teaching certification/license in Special Education.
- Prior experience working with students with special needs in inner city is preferred
- Strong knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with special needs
- Provide specialized instruction and support to help students achieve academic and social goals
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create a nurturing learning environment
- Adapt teaching methods and materials to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities
- Assess student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly
