• Saskatchewan Professional A Teacher’s Certificate (or confirmation of eligibility)
• Knowledge and experience applying best practices in instruction, curriculum, environment, and assessment
• Knowledge of First Nations, Métis, and Inuit languages, histories, and cultures
• Demonstrated ability to work well within a team and independently

• Familiarity and experience with Northern issues
• Minimum of five years of successful teaching experience
• Minimum of five years of successful administrative experience
• Experience at elementary, middle, and secondary levels
• Graduate academic training in school administration
• Strong instructional leadership, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
• Strong commitment to schools/plus/community schools and safe schools concept
