Position Overview

Lead and advance the Center for Peacemaking’s academic working groups, faculty engagement initiatives, and research portfolio.

Responsibilities

Lead Fundraising & Grant Development: identify, pursue, and secure external funding; develop grant proposals; steward funder relationships; manage grant implementation.

Manage Academic Research Initiatives: support faculty chairs; facilitate collaboration; oversee calls for research; allocate and steward research funds; ensure completion of deliverables.

Advance Faculty & Student Research Engagement: cultivate participation; develop communication systems; maintain public‑facing resources.

Implement Communication & Storytelling Strategy: develop and implement strategic communications; produce and disseminate content across web, print, podcast, media; represent the Center at professional conferences.

Lead Academic and Public Events: plan and coordinate faculty gatherings, interdisciplinary research convenings, and Center‑sponsored events; provide operational support.

Financial

Activities:

establish, approve, and monitor budgets for each academic working group.

Supervision: supervise student employees; including hiring, training, disciplinary actions, and ending assignments.

Required Knowledge,

Skills and Abilities

Minimum of four years of experience.
Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
Demonstrated success in fundraising, grant writing, and research support.
Commitment to nonviolence, social justice, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Preferred Knowledge,

Skills and Abilities

Terminal Degree strongly preferred or master’s degree with significant experience.
Experience in higher education, nonprofit, or research administration.
