Position Overview

Lead and advance the Center for Peacemaking’s academic working groups, faculty engagement initiatives, and research portfolio.

Responsibilities
  • Lead Fundraising & Grant Development: identify, pursue, and secure external funding; develop grant proposals; steward funder relationships; manage grant implementation.
  • Manage Academic Research Initiatives: support faculty chairs; facilitate collaboration; oversee calls for research; allocate and steward research funds; ensure completion of deliverables.
  • Advance Faculty & Student Research Engagement: cultivate participation; develop communication systems; maintain public‑facing resources.
  • Implement Communication & Storytelling Strategy: develop and implement strategic communications; produce and disseminate content across web, print, podcast, media; represent the Center at professional conferences.
  • Lead Academic and Public Events: plan and coordinate faculty gatherings, interdisciplinary research convenings, and Center‑sponsored events; provide operational support.

    Activities:

    establish, approve, and monitor budgets for each academic working group.
  • Supervision: supervise student employees; including hiring, training, disciplinary actions, and ending assignments.
  • Required Knowledge,

    Skills and Abilities
    • Minimum of four years of experience.
    • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
    • Demonstrated success in fundraising, grant writing, and research support.
    • Commitment to nonviolence, social justice, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
    Preferred Knowledge,

    Skills and Abilities
    • Terminal Degree strongly preferred or master’s degree with significant experience.
    • Experience in higher education, nonprofit, or research administration.
