The Appleton Area School District has a position available for a 1.0 FTE Cross Categorical Special Education Paraprofessional at Appleton West High School beginning on 08/24/2026.
Salary: Starting at $17.50
Schedule: 35 hours/week (M-F 7:55 am - 3:42 pm)
Qualifications: High School Diploma and a Special Education Aide License (or willingness to obtain)

What you'll do
The Special Education Paraprofessional works directly with students with disabilities to support their academic learning, behavior, physical needs, and daily care. In collaboration with teachers and school staff, this role helps implement individualized plans, ensures student safety, and provides support across multiple school settings, including classrooms, common areas, and outdoor spaces. Paraprofessionals play a critical role in creating inclusive, supportive learning environments where students can grow academically, socially, and emotionally.
Success in this position requires flexibility, teamwork, strong communication skills, and a commitment to meeting the diverse needs of students.
