Job Description

Location: Burlington, WI
Position Type: Full-time, Onsite
Schedule: 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled School Psychologist to join our team in Burlington, WI. This full-time, onsite position offers the opportunity to work closely with students, teachers, and staff to support the academic, social, and emotional needs of our students.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to evaluate students' cognitive, academic, social, and emotional functioning.
  • Provide individual and group counseling to students to address emotional and behavioral challenges.
  • Assist in the supervision of special education teachers and teaching assistants.
  • Attend IEP meetings as the District LEA Representative at alternative placement schools, open enrollment schools, and as deemed necessary by administration.
  • Monitor legal compliance of evaluations and IEPs.
  • Assist in the professional development of special education staff to ensure ongoing legal compliance and best practices.
  • Help process manifestation determinations and behavioral plans for students when needed.
  • Ensure that accommodations for special education students are being met within both regular education and special education environments.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 1+ years school psychologist experience.
  • Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or a related field.
  • Current state certification or licensure as a School Psychologist.
  • Experience working with children and adolescents in an educational or clinical setting.
  • Proficiency in psychological assessment tools and techniques.
  • Strong understanding of special education law and practices.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
