Adjunct Instructors facilitate student learning and develop instructional strategies that meet student and employer needs and promote success.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities- Learning Facilitation – Foster student learning by developing appropriate instructional strategies and creating learning experiences that integrate hybrid, in-person, virtual, and online course delivery.
- Assessment – Assess student learning and provide regular feedback, using data to measure outcomes and design improvement strategies.
- Classroom Management – Fulfill assigned schedule, maintain accurate attendance and grade records, maintain safe instructional environment, and evaluate student engagement.
- Team Participation – Engage with division, department, and team members; stay current with internal and external changes.
- Business & Community Engagement – Build relationships with community, industry, and clinical partners and promote the College.
- Student Success & Support – Advocate for students, collaborate with Student Services to retain students and close achievement gaps.
- Professional Development – Continuously improve knowledge and skills, network with regional industry leaders, and integrate new techniques and technology; maintain Faculty Quality Assurance System requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum of 4,000 hours occupational experience in a target job for the program being taught (3–5 years preferred).
- Prior teaching or training experience preferred.
- Ability to plan, organize, instruct, and facilitate quality education programs, including curriculum development.
- Qualified per FVTC requirements and meet Higher Learning Commission, Faculty Quality Assurance Standards, and other licensing standards.
- Proficiency using learning management systems.
- Strong verbal communication.
- Adapt quickly to changing demands.
- Professional presentation and communication with various audiences.
- Commitment to continuous improvement with innovative teaching methodologies.
- Background check will be conducted prior to hire.

Extended periods of sitting while performing tasks and using computer systems. - Mobility:
