Responsibilities

The Thorp Public Library Board is seeking an enthusiastic, innovative, and community-minded individual to serve as our next Library Director. Responsibilities include managing staff, overseeing budget, developing and maintaining the library's collection, and ensuring the effective operation of the library building and services.

Candidates must have completed at least two years of college coursework (54 credits) with at least half of those credits in the liberal arts and be eligible to obtain Wisconsin Grade 3 Public Librarian Certification within the required timeframe. Customer service experience and proficiency with computers and technology are preferred. The ideal candidate will be self‑motivated and an effective leader with excellent organizational and communication skills, as well as a strong commitment to customer service.

This position is offered at 80‑100% full‑time with a regionally competitive wage and benefits package.
