RESPONSIBILITIES

Project Superintendents are responsible for ensuring safe and efficient jobsite operations. This role's primary responsibilities are focused on coordinating between project managers, subcontractors, and field operations to assist with meeting project specifications and deadlines within the asphalt team. Project Superintendents must be able to read and interpret blueprints to coordinate with crews and plan for resources such as equipment or materials.

The ideal candidate must be detail-oriented with the ability to multitask, as they are expected to manage multiple projects. Additionally, they must possess strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and mechanical skills while working in a team environment. Strong customer service skills are also required, as superintendents must respond to inquiries from both internal and external team members in a timely manner.

Candidates must have an acceptable driving record, as traveling to multiple locations is required.

Safety is a top priority at MCC, Inc. Superintendents are expected to work safely on all job sites, around all types of moving equipment and traffic, and in various weather conditions. Additionally, all employees are expected to maintain compliance with all workplace rules and regulations according to company policy, and all governing agencies.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Four years of related construction experience or four-year degree in related field preferred.
• A valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record required.
• Ability to adapt to various computer programs through training.
• Strong Communication skills, both verbal and written; including the ability to provide and comprehend clear instructions or directions (both general and technical).
• Reasoning Skills (problem solving and troubleshooting skills).
• Must be able to handle multiple tasks and establish priorities in a fast-paced work environment to meet scheduled deaedlines.
• Demonstrate dependability and trustworthiness and handle sensitive or confidential information in a professional manner.
• Ability to assess and report various hazards and work safely to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Mechanical capabilities as preferred.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent, with an understanding of basic math preferred.
