Your Impact
Solar Panel Maintenance Technician, responsible for inspection and corrective maintenance of photovoltaic (PV) solar panel systems, adhering to established procedures and prioritizing health, safety, and environmental compliance. This is a 100% travel role.
Core Responsibilities- Troubleshoot inverters, combiner boxes and replace/repair string lines.
- Perform LOTO, IV Curve tracing, megger/insulation testing, and IR scans.
- Responsible for the operation and maintenance of solar power plants in accordance with established standards and procedures.
- Lead by example in maintaining safety protocols and operating with professionalism.
- Troubleshoot solar system problems and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Responsible for documentation including, but not limited to, work orders, service orders, time logs, and emergency information schedules.
- Operate your Pearce motor vehicle safely and legally per the PEARCE Employee Handbook and insurance requirements.
- Maintain PEARCE company vehicle so that it is always clean, presentable, functional.
- 1+ years' experience on commercial and/or utility scale solar sites.
- Experience with electrical and power electronics troubleshooting and repairs
- Knowledge of environmental and safety policies and procedures and able to apply NFPA 70E/OSHA 10 training.
- Provide a working knowledge of troubleshooting electrical components with help and use of digital multi-meters, meggers, amp clamps and similar equipment.
- Able to test installed equipment, ensuring proper working order including daily mechanical electrical inspections.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office.

- Lift and move equipment as needed (up to 50 pounds).
- Work possible rotating shifts (100% travel required for this position).
- Work in an indoor or outdoor environment in adverse weather conditions with blowing pollen, dust, and grasses.
- Be exposed to ambient temperatures while working outdoors.
