We are looking for a Lead Electrical Designer to join our team in Ripon, WI. In this role, you will not just be sitting behind a desk. You will take ownership of key product lines, guide a talented team of designers, and see your concepts come to life on the manufacturing floor. Key Responsibilities- Lead the end-to-end design and development of critical electrical, electronic, and electro-mechanical sub-systems, including wire harnesses, controls, and switches.
- Provide daily mentorship and strategic guidance to a dedicated technical design team of three direct reports.
- Partner closely with our Engineering Test Lab to define, coordinate, and document rigorous testing procedures for new components.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with mechanical engineers and manufacturing teams to support pilot builds and ensure seamless integration on the production line.
- Manage complex production part information and oversee Engineering Change Notifications to keep our high-volume manufacturing running smoothly.
- An Associate's Degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Electro-Mechanical Technology, though a Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
- At least five years of hands‑on experience in electrical or electronics design, specifically with harness design, controls, and switch selection.
- Strong proficiency using AutoCAD to generate complex electrical systems and schematics.
- Demonstrated leadership ability with a track record of successfully overseeing projects or guiding team members.
- A background in high-volume manufacturing environments or related heavy industrial sectors like industrial machinery or paper manufacturing.
