We are seeking a Stress Engineer to support Delta's Cabin Rebrand Team, focused on transforming aircraft cabin interiors and implementing engineering modifications that align with Delta's latest brand standards.
The selected candidate will be responsible for developing engineering work packages, supporting aircraft interior modifications, ensuring regulatory compliance, and collaborating with maintenance, planning, engineering, and materials teams.
Location:
Georgia (Contract Position)
- Develop, design, and support repairs, inspections, alterations, and modifications for aircraft cabin interiors including seats, galleys, and lavatories
- Author engineering documentation including:
- Engineering Repairs/Authorizations (ER/A)
- Action Authorizations (AA)
- AMDS Work Cards
- Engineering Drawings (CAD)
- Support implementation of engineering programs and modifications
- Collaborate with Maintenance, Planning, Engineering, and Materials teams
- Ensure compliance with FAA, DOT, ICAO, FCC, OSHA regulations and company procedures
- Substantiate airworthiness and regulatory compliance of engineering documentation
- Support aircraft maintenance activities and cabin rebranding initiatives
- Coordinate with suppliers, customers, and internal stakeholders to drive project execution
- Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline
- Experience supporting aircraft structures, interiors, modifications, repairs, or certification activities
- Strong engineering documentation and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to work effectively with cross‑functional teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with Commercial Airlines, Military Aviation, OEM, or MRO organizations
- Familiarity with:
- FAA Regulations (FARs)
- DOT Requirements
- Aircraft Maintenance Manuals
- Knowledge of:
- STC Certification
- ODA Certification Processes
- Experience with Delta systems such as:
- AMDS
- Insight
- OTIS
- EARTH
- SCEPTRE
