Structural Engineering Professional Associate
As a Structural Engineer professional based within our Advanced Manufacturing team, you’ll work on a variety of projects related to advanced manufacturing or other heavy industrial facilities including new builds, retrofits, etc. You will be performing various aspects of structural engineering assignments, subsequently increasing the depth and breadth of familiarity with design methods and tools.
You’ll be a key asset, contributing to and working with a diverse team of engineers and designers on various size capital projects. You’ll liaise with other internal professionals and design departments for project delivery and coordinate designs with other Jacobs offices both domestic and international.
Other key contributions include:- Performing a variety of analysis.
- Performing calculations for member designs and foundations, material take-offs for estimating, preparation of miscellaneous calculations, assisting with schedules, etc.
- Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering
- At least 5 years of professional experience in structural engineering
- Registered Professional Engineer with the ability to become registered in additional states
- Knowledge of CAD software, such as Revit, AutoCAD, S3D, and Micro Station
- Proficiency with structural analysis software such as RISA or STAAD
- Knowledge and application of ACI, AISC, ASCE 7, and other industry relevant design codes and standards
- Knowledge and application of US Building Codes
- Proficiency with MS Office suite software including MS Teams for remote coordination
- Ability for travel to various client’s sites (approx. 10% to 20% travel)
- Master of Science in Engineering
- Experience with industrial metals projects including casting and rolling operations, paper mills, or similar heavy industrial projects
- Ability to lead teams to deliver commitments on schedule and on budget while meeting quality and client expectations

The base salary range for this position is $ to $. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
