Our client, a leader in the welding industry, is looking for an Electrical Engineer to join their Precision Welding Solutions division. In this role, you will help support and improve existing welding products while working to enhance customer experience and drive operational excellence initiatives.

This position works closely with cross-functional teams including electrical, software, mechanical, and welding engineering, along with operations, manufacturing, customer support, and marketing. This is an onsite opportunity located in Appleton, WI.

Responsibilities
  • Provide electrical engineering support for existing welding products to ensure continued performance and reliability
  • Lead and contribute to the design, development, and prototyping of electrical systems, schematics, and PCB layouts
  • Test and improve designs to optimize product performance
  • Perform circuit analysis including thermal evaluation, signal integrity, and tolerance analysis
  • Troubleshoot electrical and system-level issues, conduct root cause analysis, and support field and customer-related technical concerns
  • Assist with component selection based on performance, reliability, cost, and long-term product lifecycle considerations
  • Develop and execute testing procedures including functional, reliability, and compliance testing (UL/CSA/CE)
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Experience with hardware and software design including:
    • Schematic capture and PCB layout
    • Compliance testing/documentation
    • Manufacturing support
  • Experience using circuit modeling and simulation tools
  • Knowledge of communication protocols such as Ethernet, USB, CAN, and RS-485
  • Understanding of PCB layout, manufacturability, and PCB manufacturing processes
  • Experience with regulatory compliance standards including UL/CSA/CE
  • Knowledge of insulation requirements, EMC standards, and power conversion principles preferred
  • Self-motivated with a proactive mindset
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
  • Able to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Driven, adaptable, and eager to continue learning and improving
