Overview
Ferguson is offering a Credit Trainee program. The program is 8–12 months long and allows the trainee to learn the basics of credit operations. The trainee will be active in the warehouse, sales counter, delivery driver support, shadowing operations, customer meetings, and technical credit extension.

During the program the associate will perform activities such as visiting customers, shadowing operations staff, learning credit collection, and experimenting with credit extension models. Upon completion the trainee will have an entry‑level working knowledge of trade credit and customer relationship building.
Qualifications- 0–3 years post‑bachelor work experience or equivalent
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including face‑to‑face, phone, and presentation
- High emotional intelligence and people skills
- Willingness to learn and work in a fast‑paced, customer‑service environment
The trainee will progress toward a Credit Manager position, owning a portfolio of accounts with significant A/R, managing credit extension and collections, building customer relationships, and visiting customers regularly. Successful Credit Managers may advance to Area Credit Manager roles.
Location & RelocationInitial training in Appleton, WI. After training, relocation to Columbus, OH is required. A relocation allowance will be provided.
CompensationPay Range: $22.60 – $33.89 per hour. The role is eligible for a bonus or incentive plan.
