PRN Home Health & Therapy is seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Finance to lead and oversee all financial operations of our organization. This key leadership role is responsible for driving financial performance, ensuring regulatory compliance, managing revenue cycle operations, and providing strategic financial guidance to support organizational growth and long‑term sustainability.

The Director of Finance partners closely with executive leadership to develop financial strategies, optimize reimbursement and revenue processes, and maintain the financial integrity of the organization. This position plays a critical role in supporting our mission, vision, and values while ensuring operational excellence across all financial functions.

Financial Leadership & Operations
  • Direct and oversee all accounting and financial operations, including:
  • Payroll
  • Accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Billing and collections
  • Statistical reporting
  • Develop, implement, and maintain financial policies, procedures, systems, and internal controls.
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and analysis to support organizational decision‑making.
  • Review financial statements and analyze trends to identify opportunities for improved financial performance.
  • Prepare and report key organizational metrics and financial statistics utilizing available information systems.
  • Protect organizational assets through effective fiscal management and internal control processes.
Budgeting & Strategic Planning
  • Lead and support the annual budgeting process.
  • Provide strategic financial planning and recommendations to improve organizational viability and long‑term financial health.
  • Evaluate the financial implications of proposed contracts, agreements, and service arrangements.
  • Present financial information and recommendations to leadership and governing bodies as requested.
Revenue Cycle Management
  • Oversee billing, collections, accounts receivable, and reimbursement processes.
  • Collaborate with third‑party billing vendors and insurance providers to maximize reimbursement and improve cash flow.
  • Monitor revenue cycle performance and implement process improvements to optimize results.
  • Ensure accurate documentation related to patient payments and reimbursement activities.
Regulatory Compliance & Cost Reporting
  • Maintain financial records in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Medicare requirements, accreditation standards, and all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Prepare and manage the annual Medicare Cost Report.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with Medicare fiscal intermediaries and external financial partners.
  • Stay current with reimbursement changes, healthcare regulations, and reporting requirements, communicating relevant updates across the organization.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the Finance Department.
  • Oversee recruitment, onboarding, performance management, training, and professional development of finance staff.
  • Foster a collaborative, high‑performing team culture focused on accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
  • Participate in leadership meetings, staff meetings, and strategic planning initiatives.
  • Support organizational quality improvement and compliance programs.
  • Ensure timely completion of financial reporting, payroll, billing, and other required documentation.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding patient, employee, and organizational information.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications Required
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to supervise, develop, and motivate teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.
