Due to the nature of each position, agencies may conduct background checks on applicants prior to selection. All persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States, and to complete the required employment eligibility form.
QualificationsTo be eligible for noncompetitive appointment, the veteran candidate must:
- be included on a U.S. armed forces permanent disability list with a disability rating of at least 30 percent or
- have been rated by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs as having a compensable service-connected disability of at least 30 percent.
